The Kingdom of Bhutan is located in the Eastern Himalayas and is known as The Thunder Dragon Kingdom. The country is connected by air and road with India. It is well known for its monasteries, fortresses (or dzongs), steep mountains and valleys. Bhutan is a leading green destination in the world. The mountains are snow-capped and the valleys covered in rich vegetation. The country opened up for foreign tourists in 1974, when the Government of Bhutan wanted to highlight the country’s culture and traditions to the outside world. Peace, spirituality and natural beauty are the three words that describe the Country. It is consnjoys foridered as “The Happiest Country” and is one of the smallest nations in the world. Bhutan enjoys four seasons i.e. Summer, Winter, Autumn and Fall.
