A Scandinavian country with many islands. Copenghagen, the capital, is home to Royal Palaces and colorful Nyhavn harbor, plus the Tivoli amusement park and the “Little Mermaid” statue. It is also the hometown of the writer Hans Christian Andersen.Denmark has a medieval look with cobbled streets and half-timbered houses and is also Europe’s oldest kingdom. The country has long stretches of sandy beaches, attracting many tourists in the summer to enjoy Danish beer, wines and spirits. Kronborg Castle is famous for its associations with Shakespeare’s Hamlet. The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art is located 30 km north of Copenhagen is the most visited museum in Denmark.
