Macau is on the south coast of China, across the Pearl River Delta from Hong Kong. A Portuguese territory until 1999, it reflects a mix of cultural influences. Its giant casinos and malls on the Cotai Strip have earned it the nickname “Las Vegas of Asia.” One of its more striking landmarks is the tall Macau Tower- with sweeping city views. Macau is the only place in China where gambling is legal.
Macau also boasts of a great number of hotels from budget to luxury along with many food options and historical sights to explore.
The Hong Kong – Macau road Bridge was completed in 2018 and is 55 Kms in length. Besides road transport the other option is taking the ferry from Hong Kong.
