Saudi Arabia is the site of several ancient cultures and civilizations. Islam was propagated in the world from Saudi Arabia In the early 7th century. The present Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was founded in 1932 by Ibn Saud. The country is called the “The Land of Two Holy Mosques” i.e. Al-Masjid Al-Haram in Mecca and Al-Masjid an-Nabawi in Medina. The official language is Arabic .Petroleum was discovered in 1938. The country has since become the world’s second largest oil producer (behind the US) and the world’s largest oil exporter.

The country is the second largest tourist destination in the Middle East. The potential tourist places include The Hijaz and Sarawat Mountains, Red Sea diving and a number of ancient ruins. Although tours are largely for religious pilgrimages,however, there has been a growth in the leisure tourism sector. Visit Mecca, Medina, Mada in Salih, Yanbu, Tabuk, Jeddah and Riyadh.13 International Airports cater to many International carriers. Also 15 domestic airports connect the country. The seasons are organized throughout the year into 11 seasons named after the City or Festival.

Saudi Arabia has much to offer -whether one wants to explore deep in the desert or trek up the mountains to the plateau where Taif sits beautifully in the Western region.
