Overview

Amarnath cave is known for a famous Hindu temple located in Jammu and Kashmir. Among many historical monuments in India, this is considered as the holiest among Hindus, and the cave is bounded by snowy mountains. It is covered with the snow all the days of the year and only for a little period in summer is open for pilgrims. Inside these caves, there is a spike formed due to icy water that drops from the roof of the cave and people believe that it is the idol of Lord Shiva which is in the form of Linga and worships it. The discovery of Amarnath cave is also interesting. It was a shepherd who discovered the cave in the 15 th century when almost everyone forgot about it in middle age. Reaching the cave is a challenging task as the route is fully occupied with mountains and stones. Throughout the way, some non-profit organizations supply food and accommodate pilgrims in tents for free of cost. Pilgrims are not allowed to begin their yatra until they register online in Amarnath online registration. They are also advised to go through a medical check-up before they start their yatra. Devotees who travel to get blessings of Lord Shiva, return with a spiritual impact on their minds.

Day 01: Arrival – Srinagar – Sonmarg

Arrive at Srinagar airport & transfer to Sonmarg (100 Kms)

Our services start with your arrival at Srinagar airport. Meet & greet and transfer by Car to Sonmarg. Check in your hotel / Swiss Camp at Sonmarg. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Dinner & overnight stay at Sonmarg.

*Please book your flight tickets time either morning or before 02 PM to reach Srinagar Airport.

*Due to the strict transport union, our transport will be not able to tour you in Sonmarg, If any traveller wants to perform any sightseeing present there, they can do it by the car of the union (at their own cost).

Day 02 : Sonmarg – Neelgrath – Amarnath Ji – Neelgrath – Sonmarg

After early breakfast short drive of 10 Kms will take you to Neelgrath (Helipad) Neelgrath – Panchtarni –Neelgrath – helicopter ride. The Helicopter start operating at 06.00 Hrs (Weather Permitting). Panjtarni is approx 6 Kms from Holy Cave helipad, you can go there by Foot or can hire Palki/Pony at your own cost to reach the cave. After darshan return back to Panjtarni to board helicopter to Neelgrath {Baltal}. Return back to Sonmarg. Dinner & overnight stay at Sonmarg.

Day 03: Departure

After breakfast time is free till departure. Check out from the hotel. Transfer you to the airport to connect your flight to your onward journey.

Please Note: Due to strict security, you are requested to leave for the airport at least 4 hours before the departure time. You will have to pass 4 security barriers before reaching the airport. This often leads to long traffic jams right outside the airport.
