Overview

Sikkim is a small but amazingly beautiful state of Northeastern India, almost all of the Sikkim is covered by the hills. The snow covered mountains & lush green valley’s not only invigorates one’s soul, it also leaves the spectators bewildered by the extravaganza of its natural beauty. Sikkim has many beautiful lakes dotting its landscape.

Blessed with immense natural beauty, Kalimpong is surrounded by stunning snow-capped peaks. It nestles at an altitude of 1250 m above sea level at the foothills of the Shivalik Ranges of Lower Himalayas.

Mirik is centered round Samendu Lake and is known for its landscaped gardens, tea gardens, orange orchards, cardamom groves and spectacular views of the Himalayan ranges.

Darjeeling – also named “The Queen of Hills” is a charming hill station and one the famous tourist destinations in India, Darjeeling is a perfect mixture of the beautiful lush green hills, serene monasteries, eye-catching tea plantations and the amazing Toy Train.

Day 1: New Jalpaiguri Junction Railway Station / Bagdogra International Airport – Lataguri/Chalsa (100 Kms. / 3 Hrs)

Meet and Greet on arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station/ Bagdogra International Airport and transfer to Lataguri / Chalsa (535 Ft.). On arrival, check-in to the hotel and rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at Lataguri / Chalsa.

Day 02: Gorumara National Park + Local Sightseeing

Early morning at 06:00 hrs. visit Gorumara National Park (Watch Tower visit on direct payment basis) by Jeep. Back to hotel. After breakfast, visit Samsing, Suntalekhola and Murti River side. In the afternoon, visit another Watch Tower by Jeep. Dinner and overnight stay at Lataguri / Chalsa.

Day 03: Lataguri / Chalsa - Kalimpong via Lava (112 Kms. / 6 Hrs.)

After breakfast, transfer to Kalimpong (4,091 Ft.) via Lava (7,200 ft). The route to Lava is scenic with the change in vegetation from tropical deciduous to the wet alpine trees. Lava is known for the magnificent view of Mount Kanchenjunga. You can visit Lava Monastery, Forest Nursery and Nature Interpretation Centre or go to the viewpoint. On arrival at Kalimpong, check-in to the hotel. Evening free for leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at Kalimpong.

Day 04: Kalimpong Full Day Local Sightseeing

After breakfast visit Mangal Dham, Budha Statue, Deolo Hills, Science Centre, Singh Bhawani Durga Mandir, Hanuman Top, Durpin Dara Hill, Golf Course, Jelepla View Point, Pine View Nursery (Sunday closed) and Kali Temple. Back to the hotel. Evening free for leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at Kalimpong.

Day 06: Darjeeling Full Day Sightseeing with Tiger Hill

Early morning (4:00 AM) visit Tiger Hill (Subject to availability of Permit / Token) and then back to hotel. After breakfast, starting at 8.30 AM, visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Ropeway, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed), Tea Garden (outer view), Japanese Temple. Evening free for shopping or leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Day 07: Darjeeling - Mirik - Local Sightseeing (49 Kms. / 2½ Hrs.)

After breakfast, transfer to Mirik (4,902 Ft.), which is a small picturesque hill station with a beautiful lake surrounded by forested hills on all sides with the back drop of Mt Kanchenjunga. Enroute visit Pasupati Market which is situated in Indo-Nepal border (Extra vehicle charges will be applicable for Nepal Border to Pasupati Market on direct payment basis). Further, drive to Mirik runs through some fascinating tea gardens (Estates), Cardamom plantations and pine forests. On arrival check-in to hotel. Afternoon visit Sumendu Lake, which is famous for being one of the most beautiful man-made lakes. You may enjoy horse ride and boating at this point on direct payment basis. Evening back to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Mirik.

After breakfast Checkout from hotel and take, the departure transfers to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station/ Bagdogra International Airport for your onward journey.

Please Note: Due to strict security, you are requested to leave for the airport at least 4 hours before the departure time. You will have to pass 4 security barriers before reaching the airport. This often leads to long traffic jams right outside the airport.
